What drugs do we treat?
The Detox 5 program was developed over a decade ago to detoxify service users from all opiates including prescribed / pharmaceutical and street drugs.
Each service user is fully assessed and a comprehensive care plan is developed prior to admission which includes a plan to manage high opiate levels and poly substance abuse. Compared to similar services we can detoxify people on relatively high amounts of opiates, (methadone of 60-70mls). We can do this due to our unique sedated detox approach. We can assess people on levels over 100mls, though this would probably require a longer inpatient stay which would need to be factored into the costs.
We are able to treat poly-drug use and also alcohol use. This again would usually require a longer stay.
Detox 5 is based within a private mental health unit, and the programme is supervised by our consultant psychiatrist, Dr Amal Beaini, which means we can also work with people who have a mental health dual diagnosis.
