22nd Dec 2011: Detox 5 featured on the Jeremy Kyle Show
In December viewers of the Jeremy Kyle Show on ITV will saw the stories of two patients who had very successful admissions to Detox 5 in November.
Film crews visited the hospital twice to record the admission and ongoing care of the two patients during their two week Detox 5 Extra stay. One patient had been drinking very heavily for over 10 years while the other patient had been using opiates for many years and was 'stuck' on 100mls Methadone.
Both came to Detox 5 very ill and dependent on their substance. Two weeks later, they were reunited with their family on the show, which was a very uplifting and emotional experience as they both looked so well and determined to continue their road to recovery with aftercare in place from the show.
