Commissioning Detox5 - Drug Recovery

With the recovery and reintegration agenda and payment by results becoming a reality, the Government and NTA are making it very clear that simply holding people in methadone maintenance is no longer an acceptable outcome. This is why we strive to provide an effective drug treatment program to those suffering from drug addiction.

DAATs, PCTs and other health and social care professionals are looking at effective ways to create a recovery orientated integrated system, which not only helps people detox and become drug-free, but helps them to then live in recovery.

Gateway to Recovery

One option that some DAATs and other public sector services are now turning to is Detox5. Detox5 is a 5-day opiate detoxification programme which also utilizes naltrexone implants or oral medication for one year post-detox.

Detox 5 has provided proven results from more than 7,500 patients, allowing us to be considered a 'gateway to recovery' for those who are really ready to leave behind their heroin or methadone addictions and become opiate-free for aftercare and support in their community or residential drug recovery.
