Returning Home

Our 5-day treatment programme is just the first phase in your recovery and new opiate-free lifestyle. The first few weeks after detox can be tough and we at Detox 5 are here for you during this critical time.

Prior to your discharge, we will conduct an in-depth briefing with you and your supervisor to ensure that you both understand the physical and psychological symptoms you may experience after detoxing from heroin or other opiates. This briefing will prepare you both for the days that follow.

Aftercare Telephone Support

We offer free aftercare telephone support, provided by a trained member of the clinical team, for all patients and supervisors for the first 12 weeks after discharge. A trained nurse will contact you weekly, or more frequently if you prefer, to discuss your progress as well as any problems or concerns you may have.

24/7 Helpline

If any issues arise after these 12 weeks, you are not alone. We offer a 24-hour helpline for all our ex-patients and their families. This helpline will take you directly to a member of our trained clinical staff. All former patients and their supervisors are welcome to call this number at any time, no matter how long ago they participated in our drug detox programme.
