Admissions
We accept patients aged 18 and older.
We invite all potential patients and their families to visit our drug treatment center or contact us by phone to discuss any individual
concerns.
Arranging Admission
Our admission procedure is easy. Normally we can admit a patient for detox within a week.
To attend our opiate detox programme we need the following:
- A referral from your GP
- We have a prepared referral form available. Simply download the referral form and give it to
your GP to complete on your behalf. Consultant doctors and supervising nurses will be pleased to speak with your GP on request.
- A supervisor
- We ask you to nominate a family member or other supportive person to act as your supervisor. This person can help to motivate you following discharge and monitor the daily dose of naltrexone. If you have the implant there is no need for the supervisor to monitor the dose.
Your supervisor MUST NOT be drug dependent.
- Aftercare counselling
- At our drug treatment center we provide 12 weeks aftercare telephone support and we are also happy to provide information about addiction
recovery groups, counselling agencies or private counselling services in your area. We recommend that patients plan ahead for additional aftercare counselling as we believe that this will increase their chances of
long-term freedom from drug addiction.
We make an admission decision within 24 hours of receiving your referral. Most patients begin treatment within 5 working days. Admissions
take place on Monday with discharge on Friday. Our opiate detoxification services include codeine, methadone, subutex, morphine, and heroin detox.
